PROJECTS, HOBBIES & WORKS
ENGLISH TO SPANISH
EMPLOYEE HANDBOOK TRANSLATION
A former coworker who now works in HR and Operations at a Boulder-based startup hired me for a freelance translation project. I translated approx. 20 pages (English) to Spanish, giving their many Spanish-speaking employees a handbook outlining company policies. Topics touched on everything from sexual harassment, password management & warehouse safety, to paid leave, retirement benefits & employee referrals.
2009 - Present
From short videos to digital/print ads, banners, event coordination/presentations & everything in between, marketing has been part of my responsibilities since I began working. With a keen eye for details, a love of proofreading, and a creative flair, I have enjoyed working in Adobe Creative Suite, Constant Contact, MailChimp, social media marketing & more. A few selected projects are viewable on my LinkedIn page, or you can contact me for more information on past works & experience.
COMMERCIAL COMPOST IMPLEMENTATION
The City of Boulder passed an ordinance requiring all residential and commercial buildings to sign up for compost service & implement this, among other, zero waste initiatives in 2016. I took responsibility for gathering quotes for compost service, adding receptacles at 20+ buildings, and educating tenants, owners & vendors about the requirements of the new law. I also personally designed & posted signage for public restrooms indicating paper towel waste as compost. This was a rewarding project for me personally and professionally as a supporter of sustainability & green initiatives.
